Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda
Upon arrival at Kigali / Kanombe International Airport, our company representative (your driver-guide) shall warmly welcome you and transfer to Hotel Gorillas or Serena Hotel Kigali, relax with some massage for refreshment. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Kigali city tour, transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Morning breakfast is followed by a city tour in Kigali, visit Gisozi genocide memorial centre, local art and craft shops as well as local markets. Later after lunch, drive northwards through majestic/undulating hills of Rwanda. It is a 2 hours drive from Kigali. Dinner and overnight at La Bambou Gorilla Lodge / Muhabura Hotel / Mountain gorilla view lodge.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking & transfer to Bwindi N.P
Wake up early for a cup of tea/coffee and assemble to the park headquarters for registration and briefing about gorilla tracking in Rwanda. Group allocation follows, then proceed to the trekking start point. Gorilla tracking is a lifetime experience, goes through thick and slippery jungle grounds in the Bamboo forests. Time takes ranges between 2-6 hours depending on their movements. The thrilling encounter with a gorilla family with their leaders (Silverback gorillas) is worth the effort. Sight and stay with gorillas is one hour for observation and photographing.
Later after lunch, cross Cyanika border to Uganda through Kigezi region (the Switzerland of Africa), proceed to the Impenetrable forests of Bwindi national park (3-4hrs), dinner and overnight at Gift of Nature Lodge / Wagtail Eco camp / Gorilla Mist camp
Day 4: Second gorilla trek Bwindi
This is the day for a second gorilla tracking adventure, this time in Uganda, southern Bwindi National Park. Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi (Uganda) is much strenuous than Volcanoes National park (Rwanda). The thrilling encounter with a gorilla family with their leaders (Silverback gorillas) is worth the effort. Sight and stay with gorillas is one hour for observation and photographing. Retire for late lunch at the lodge; we can relax at the lodge or take an evening community walk to nearby villages or Cultural entertainment. Dinner and overnight at Gift of Nature Lodge / Wagtail Eco camp / Gorilla Mist camp
Day 5: Drive back to Kigali
This is the last day of your trip in Rwanda and Uganda. After a morning breakfast, hit the road back to Kigali through Katuna border this time. This is a 4hrs drive and goes through beautiful scenic views, proceed direct airport for your departure flight.
