3 Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking

Join our 3-day Rwanda gorilla trek to Volcanoes National Park.  The trip also includes golden monkey trekking and a hike to Dian Fossey’s grave.

Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Day 2: Gorilla tracking & Cultural /nature walk
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking or Dian Fossey Tombs Tour or Mt. Bisoke hiking

You will be welcomed by a representative from African Jungle Adventures Limited, who will drive north from Rwanda to Volcanoes National Park, with views of the Virunga Mountains en route. Dinner and overnight stay at Kinigi Guest House, Virunga Lodge, Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge/ Mountain Gorilla View Lodge.

Breakfast, then head to the park headquarters with a packed lunch & water for a briefing on the dos and don’ts for gorilla tracking, then proceed to track the gorillas. Time taken to search for these Gentle giants ranges from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movement. Dinner and overnight stay at your respective lodges on day 1.

After breakfast, you will go to track the golden monkeys in the bamboo forest. Other optional activities include an adventurous hike to the Dian Fossey tombs, a hike to Mt. Bisoke, or an exploration of the Musanze caves.

Return to the lodge for lunch and leave for Kigali. If you missed a city tour on DAY 1, we will do it here, including the Gisozi genocide memorial site and local art & craft shops, and do last-minute shopping before heading to the airport for your departure flight.
