Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda, Entebbe International Airport
Upon arrival in Uganda (Entebbe Airport), you will be welcomed by one of our English speaking professional driver/tour guide, then transfer to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala for a welcome meal, massage / Sauna for refreshment and overnight. If you arrive early, we can go for a city tour in Kampala to check out some of the nice places like Kasubi tombs, Uganda Museum, local art and craft shops, Bahai temple etc. Dinner and overnight in Serena hotel / Golf course Hotel / Cassia Lodge Buziga / Hotel Ruch.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Pick up from your hotel by 8am after breakfast and hit the road to Lake Mburo National Park, enroute stop at the equator for photographs and break tea, and then proceed to reach by early afternoon. Lake Mburo is one of the easily accessible National parks compared to others, it is only 3 to 4hrs drive from Kampala. Have lunch and embark on a canoe ride where you will be exposed to many bird species, Hippos and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp / Muhingo Lodge / Arcadia Cottages / Lake Mburo Lodge.
Day 3: Game drive, Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Have breakfast to game drive enroute as you drive where you will see animal species like Zebra, Impala, Eland, and other savannah species was well as birds like African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, etc. Retire for early lunch and connect to Bwindi Impenetrable National park, home to half of the world population of the critically endangered mountain gorillas. It is located in a hilly countryside, together with some remnant lowland forest outside the boundary. You will arrive by early evening, check into your rooms, dinner and overnight at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp, Gorilla Mist Camp / Gift of Nature Lodge / Mahogany Springs Lodge.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Forest
Breakfast followed by a briefing before setting off to the forest in search for gorillas. You must have packed water. The time you will take searching these gentle giants ranges between 2 to 8hrs depending on how they move in their natural environment. You must be physically fit to trek through steep rocks and slippery jungle grounds, climbing up and down making it tiresome. However, the thrill of encountering these giant Apes erases the poor memories you went through in trying to search for them. Retire to your lodge for late lunch, time permitting, take an evening walk to nearby communities or Batwa people (pygmies) or cultural entertainment. Dinner and overnight at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp, Gorilla Mist Camp / Gift of Nature Lodge / Mahogany Springs Lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early breakfast at the lodge and depart for Queen Elizabeth wildlife Park, having an enroute game drive in the Ishasha sector in southern Bwindi National Park, famous for tree climbing lions alongside other animals such as buffaloes, bush bucks, warthogs, Deffassa waterbucks, monkeys and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mweya lodge / Enganzi Lodge / Bush Lodge.
Day 6: Game Drive and Fantastic Launch Cruise
Take a cup of Tea/coffee before dawn and proceed for a game drive and catch up with the early risers and predators as they return to their hideouts. Expect an encounter with big games like Lions, hyenas, waterbucks, bush babies, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda Kob, many antelopes and others. You will retire from the game drive for late breakfast and lunch, then gather your strength for a fantastic launch cruise on the Kazinga channel that will recompense you with game like Buffaloes, hundreds of hippos and about 611 birds. The boat provides a clear platform for photographing, dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Enganzi Lodge / Bush Lodge.
Day 7: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Breakfast at your lodge and transfer to Kibale National Park with a game drive enroute. Kibale lies amidst the great mountains of the moon offering you beautiful sceneries. Arrive early for lunch at Chimp nest restaurant, then proceed for wild chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest. Expect an encounter with other primates such as the Mangabeys, colobus monkeys, bush babies, Olive baboons and many more. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Primate Lodge / Kyaninga Lodge / Chimpanzee Guest house / Kanyankyu Ecological site.
Day 8: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
A relaxed morning, breakfast and connect to Murchison Falls Wildlife Park, passing via the beautiful Butiaba Escarpments, arrive by early evening, relax at the pool side of Paraa safari lodge / Murchison river lodge as we wait for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Game drive and Boat Cruise
Take a cup of tea / coffee and go for a game drive before dawn to catch up with predators and early risers. Expect an encounter with jackals, hyenas, giraffe, lion, antelope, elephant, and the Uganda kob and many more. You will retire full breakfast, relax and wait for lunch. Embark on an afternoon launch cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls where you will see animals like the buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of water birds like fish eagles and rare shoebills and many more. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Nile safari lodge / Murchison River lodge / Red Chilli.
Day 10: Visit Top of the Falls, Departure
Early in the morning have breakfast and then drive to the top of the falls where the park derives its name and the Nile its beauty. Here you will see the calm Nile forcing its self through a narrow gorge (7meters wide) to fall a distance of about 40meters down producing a thunderous roar of white water! What incredible scenery?! Later, transfer back to Kampala / Entebbe airport (4-5hrs) where the tour ends.
