Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Set off for Murchison Falls National Park
After an early breakfast, set out for Murchison Falls national park via Masindi town, Visit the top of the falls. You will have an opportunity to see the Nile’s beauty perfected as you watch the Nile waterfall, dinner and overnight at Paraa Lodge / Murchison Lodge / Red Chilli Rest Camp.
Day 2: Game Drive and Launch Cruise
Early in the morning, you will take a cup of coffee and then go for a game drive where you will encounter Giraffes, Lions, Elephants, baboons, and a number of different antelopes……. In the after lunch go for a launch cruise on the Victoria Nile upstream to the base of the Murchison falls. You cannot miss seeing among others; Hippos, crocodiles, Waterbucks, and a wide variety of bird species. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: Travel to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Kibale Forest national park in preparation for the chimpanzee tracking the following day. The journey takes you through Butiaba Escarpments on the western arm of the East African Rift Valley, overnight at Chimpanzee Guest House / Chimp Nest Lodge / Primate Lodge Kibale.
Day 4: Chimps Tracking and Travel to Queen Elizabeth wild game Park
Early morning breakfast and then trek the Kibale Forest to search for Man’s closet cousins the Chimpanzees . The forest is also home to other primates like grey cheeked mangabeys, baboons and vervet monkeys. In the afternoon, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP, dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Enganzi Lodge / King Fisher Lodge.
Day 5: Game Drive and Launch Cruise on Kazinga Channel
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive along Kasenyi track to see the herds of Buffalo, Elephant, Warthog and Lions. After lunch, go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel, this is the highest concentration of hippos in Africa, with huge Nile crocodiles, 611 bird species and many Elephants & Buffaloes seen basking along the shores, then in the evening go back to your lodge for dinner & overnight.
Day 6: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, going through Ishasha sector viewing the tree climbing lions along side other animals like elephants and antelopes, dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs / Gorilla Mist Lodge / Wagtail Eco Lodge.
Day 7: Gorilla Tracking Experience
This is your day for the gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Forest, an experience of a life time and worth encountering! Time permitting; take a nature walk to local communities like the Batwa pygmies, or cultural entertainment in the evening, dinner and overnight at your lodge on DAY 6.
Day 8: Departure
Breakfast at the lodge and organize to leave Uganda, we either cross Katuna boarder to Kigali International Airport in Rwanda (4hrs drive) or transfer back to Kampala / Entebbe International Airport (9hrs), this marks the end of the tour.
