Day 1: Kigali city tour, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Pick up from the hotel or Airport and proceed for a city tour in Kigali, visit Gisozi genocide memorial museum, later drive to southern Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (3hrs). The journey goes through fantastic scenic views of majestic rolling hills that characterize much of Rwanda, enter Uganda through Chanika or Katuna boarder, proceed through beautiful scenic views in Kigezi Hills, famously known as the Switzerland of Africa, the 4hrs journey goes through rolling hills, winding roads and deep valleys, check in Gorilla Mist Camp / Gift of Nature lodge or Wagtail Eco-Safari camp, relax in the evening with breathtaking view of the forest.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Uganda
We will wake-up early for breakfast, drive to pack headquarters (with packed lunch and water) for a 30 minutes briefing about the ‘Dos’ and ‘Don’ts’ while with gorillas. Thereafter, join your trackers and head up the slopes of the Forest to visit one of the habituated groups of gorillas. The trek is quite strenuous, so you should be able to hike for 2-6 hours on steep mountain trails. Sight and stay with gorillas is for 1 hour. Return to the lodge and hit the road back to Kigali where the tour ends.
