Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Pick up from your hotel by 8am after breakfast, or from the airport on arrival and hit the road to Lake Mburo National Park, enroute stop at the equator for photographs and break tea, and then proceed to reach by early afternoon. Lake Mburo is one of the easily accessible National parks compared to others; it is only 3 to 4hrs drive from Kampala. Have lunch and embark on a canoe ride where you will be exposed to many bird species, Hippos and many more, dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp / Muhingo Lodge / Arcadia Cottages / Lake Mburo Lodge.
Day 2: Game Drive, Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Have breakfast to game drive enroute as you drive where you will see animal species like Zebra, Impala, Eland and other savannah species was well as birds like African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, etc. Retire for early lunch and connect to Bwindi Impenetrable National park, a home to half of the world population of the critically endangered mountain gorillas. It is located in a hilly country side, together with some remnant lowland forest outside the boundary. You will arrive by early evening, check into your rooms, dinner and overnight at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp, Gorilla Mist Camp / Gift of Nature Lodge / Mahogany Springs Lodge.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Forest
Breakfast followed by a briefing before setting off to the forest in search for gorillas. You must have packed water. The time you will take searching these gentle Giants ranges between 2 to 8hrs depending on how they move in their natural environment. You must be physically fit to trek through steep rocks and slippery jungle grounds, climbing up and down making it tiresome. However, the thrill of encountering these giant Apes erases the poor memories you went through in trying to search for them. Retire to your lodge for late lunch, time permitting, take an evening walk to nearby communities or Batwa people (pygmies) or cultural entertainment, dinner and overnight at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp, Gorilla Mist Camp / Gift of Nature Lodge / Mahogany Springs Lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early breakfast at the lodge and depart for Queen Elizabeth wildlife Park, having an enroute game drive in the Ishasha sector in southern Bwindi National Park, famous for tree-climbing lions alongside other animals such as buffaloes, bush bucks, warthogs, Deffassa waterbucks, monkeys and many more, dinner and overnight at Mweya lodge / Enganzi Lodge / Bush Lodge.
Day 5: Game drive and Fantastic launch cruise
Take a cup of Tea / coffee before dawn and proceed for a game drive and catch up with the early risers and predators as they return to their hideouts. Expect an encounter with big game like Lions, hyenas, waterbucks, bush babies, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda Kob, many antelopes and others. You will retire from the game drive for late breakfast and lunch, then gather your strength for a fantastic launch cruise on the Kazinga channel that will recompense you with game like Buffaloes, hundreds of hippos and about 611 birds. The boat provides a clear platform for photographing, dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Enganzi Lodge / Bush Lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Breakfast at your lodge and transfer to Kibale National Park with a game drive enroute. Kibale lies amidst the great mountains of the moon offering you beautiful sceneries. Arrive early for lunch at Chimp nest restaurant, and then proceed for wild chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest. Expect an encounter with other primates such as the Mangabeys, colobus monkeys, bush babies, Olive baboons and many more. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Primate Lodge / Kyaninga Lodge / Chimpanzee Guest house / Kanyankyu Ecological site.
Day 7: Departure
Have breakfast and transfer to back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport where the tour ends.
