Join our 5 Days Uganda safari to trek the mountain gorillas in Bwindi National Park, game safar, and a fantastic boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park with African Jungle Adventures. This trip starts and ends in Kampala Uganda
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National Park (By Air or Road)
Pick up from your hotel by 8 am after breakfast and hit the road to the home of the gorillas (8hrs), en route stop at the equator for photographs and break tea, lunch in Mbarara, and then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in a hilly countryside, together with some remnant lowland forest outside the boundary. Arrive by early evening, check into your rooms, dinner, and overnight at Buhoma Community Rest Camp, Gorilla Mist Camp, or Mahogany Springs Lodge.
By Air, we fly from Entebbe Airport to Kihihi Airstrip from where you will be transferred to your lodge in a 4×4 vehicle (50-60 minutes).
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Forest
Breakfast, followed by a briefing before setting off to the forest to search for the mountain gorillas. You must have packed lunch and water. The time you will take searching these gentle giants ranges between 2 to 7 hours depending on how they move in their natural environment. You must be physically fit to trek through steep rocks and slippery jungle grounds, climbing up and down, making it tiresome. However, the thrill of encountering these giant Apes erases the poor memories you went through in trying to search for them. Retire to your lodge for a hot lunch, time permitting, take an evening walk to nearby communities or Batwa people (pygmies) or cultural entertainment. Dinner and overnight as on DAY 1.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early breakfast at the lodge and depart for Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Park, having an en-route game safari in the Ishasha sector, famous for tree climbing lions alongside other animals such as buffaloes, bushbucks, warthogs, Deffassa waterbucks, monkeys, and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Enganzi Game Lodge / Bush Lodge.
Day 4: Game Safari and Fantastic Boat Cruise
Take a cup of Tea/coffee before dawn, proceed for a game drive, and catch up with the early risers and predators as they return to their hideouts. Expect an encounter with big game such as Lions, hyenas, waterbucks, bush babies, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda Kob, many antelopes, and others. You will retire from the game safari for late breakfast and lunch, then gather your strength for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel that will recompense you with games such as Buffaloes and elephants quenching their thirst, hundreds of hippos basking along the shores, and about 611 birds. The boat provides a clear platform for photographing, dinner, and overnight as of DAY 3.
Day 5: Reserved for Departure (By Air or Road)
Breakfast and hit the road back to Kampala / Entebbe airport for your departure flight (6-7hrs). This marks the end of the tour.
