8 Days Tanzania and Rwanda Gorilla Safari Adventure
The 8 days East Africa safari package allows you to explore the best destinations in the northern part of Tanzania such as Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation area. Return to Arusha and fly to Kigali International Airport in Rwanda for track the mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. However, for those willing to self drive in Tanzania, a strong 4×4 vehicle is highly recommended because all those destinations have bad tracks especially during heavy rains. Below is the proposed itinerary;
Day 1: Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Breakfast at your hotel in Arusha and start a 2 hours drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and large baobab trees that dot the grassland. We can check in your lodge and embark on the first game drive in the Tarangire National Park in search for animals like wildebeest, zebra, common eland, Buffalo, hartebeest, gazelle and Lion among others. Lunch will be at a designated picnic site then afternoon game drives until sunset time. Return to Tarangire Safari lodge or Lemala Mpingo Ridge Lodge and Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park (Tree-Lions)
Breakfast and start a 1 hour drive to the famous Lake Manyara National Park, arrive in time for game drive in such for animals like zebra, elephant, waterbuck, hippo, wildebeest, gazelle, impala, waterbuck, warthog, buffalo, wildebeest, warthog, hyena, primates like Baboons and giraffe. The park is also known for its tree-climbing lions. We have a full day exploring this park before connecting to Karatu for dinner and accommodation at Acacia Farm Lodge or Marera Village Resort.

Day 3: Full Day Exploring Serengeti National Park
Early breakfast followed by transfer to the Serengeti National Park for a fantastic game drive to experience Tanzania at its purest.
The word Serengeti comes from a Maasai word ‘Siringit’ which means plains without end. This is true to the name you will explore vast stretches of African Savannah in search of the many animals that Serengeti has to offer. Apart from the wildebeests, expect an encounter with animals such as lions, cheetahs, Elephants, the elusive leopards, Elands, zebras and a lot of resident and migratory birds. Dinner and overnight stay at Singita Faru Faru Lodge, Serengeti Serena Lodge, Serengeti Green Hills Camp or any lodge/camp of your choice.
Day 4: Hot Air Balloon Safari, More game drives
Breakfast followed by another game drive or hot-air balloon experience to explore more of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Our vehicles are fitted with VHF high frequency radios for better connection and communication with other guides about the best spots to explore at that time. Exit Serengeti to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, Neptune Ngorongoro Lodge, Gibb’s Farm, Kitela lodge and Ngorongoro Tented camp among others.

Day 5: Explore Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Early breakfast and descend early into the Crater floor for game drives to see a variety of animals including the Big 5 at a close range including the black Rhinos. Spend the better part of the morning exploring the Ngorongoro Crater until lunch time.
Ngorongoro Conservation area with its 600 to 650 meter high walls is like a natural zoo with the highest concentration of wild animals. Picnic lunch at hippo poolside, return to Arusha for overnight as you prepare for the next day’s flight to Kigali – Rwanda.

Day 6: Fly to Kigali International Airport – Rwanda
Depending on your scheduled flight time, you will be transferred to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight to Kigali where you will be received by another tour guide / driver to take you around Rwanda. Check-in your hotel for lunch, relax or take an evening walk to explore Kigali at Night, dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel or The Manor Hotel, Kigali Marriott Hotel or any hotel of your choice.
Day 7: Kigali City Tour – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Breakfast at your hotel, followed by a visit to Gisozi genocide museum, local art and craft shops, and fruits markets. Lunch and start a 2 hour drive to Volcanoes Gorilla Park, take a village walk / community tour, dinner and overnight stay at Singita Kwitonda Lodge, Bisate Lodge, or Mountain Gorilla View Lodge among others.
Day 8: Gorilla Trekking (Lifetime Adventure), Departure
This is your day for a life time adventure experience in Rwanda. Gorilla trekking activity ends by lunch time, after which you are awarded a certificate for successfully completing the hike. Drive back to Kigali / Airport where the tour ends.
