Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park hosts the greatest Uganda’s tourist attraction known as mountain gorillas.
Kibale forest act is the home of chimpanzees plus other primate species in Uganda. The park offers very affordable chimps tracking.
The Park’s location is a nature haven for fauna & flora. The park is in Mbarara district & it is the smallest Uganda’s savannah park
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
The Park covers 33.7km2, making it Uganda’s smallest National Park. The park takes its name from “Gahinga” – the local word for the piles of volcanic stones
Mount Elgon covers an area of 1,121km², in the Eastern side, about 5hrs drive from Kampala. This extinct volcano is one of Uganda’s oldest physical features
Queen Elizabeth National Park covers an area of 1,978km². It is located in western part of Uganda, 5-7hours drive from Kampala or Entebbe Airport.
Mountain Rwenzori National Park covers 996km2, located in south western part of Uganda, near Queen Elizabeth and Kibale Forest National Parks.
Park covers area of 220km² with an altitude of 670-760m above sea level. Semuliki Forest Reserve was created in 1932 & later upgraded to national park in 1993.
